Celyra (Pvt) Ltd is the company behind our work; EventHappens is the main product and brand we ship to the public. I started building this platform in 2024 and have kept improving it feature by feature, release by release until it reached the quality and experience we stand behind today.

Career & background

Alongside building EventHappens, I work as an automation engineer. I help businesses replace slow, manual processes with dependable workflows and introduce them to practical AI and automation so people spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on work that actually moves the business forward.

I have been a software engineer for close to four years, with experience across foreign and local companies as well as freelance engagements. That mix shaped how I ship software: clear requirements, maintainable systems, and outcomes that hold up for real teams, not just demos.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology, specializing in software engineering, which grounds my practice in solid engineering fundamentals as well as hands-on delivery.

Why I built this

The idea came from something I kept seeing around me: a lot of people quietly struggling with loneliness and not feeling like they belong anywhere. In a digital-first world, it is easy to compare your real life to the polished, public versions of happiness people show online and that gap can feel isolating.

I wanted to help people feel seen and like they matter. Not through another endless feed, but by nudging them back into real rooms, real conversations, and real momentum.

What we are solving

Events and workshops are a practical way to reconnect: they give structure, shared purpose, and a reason to show up. That kind of in-person rhythm can support wellbeing, less time stuck in your head comparing yourself to strangers on a screen, more time actually next to other people who showed up for the same thing.

So we built EventHappens to make discovery instant: when someone feels low or restless, they should be able to find something meaningful to do without opening dozens of Instagram pages or group chats just to figure out what is on. One place to browse what is happening, choose a moment that fits them, and step into it.
